VISAKHAPATNAM: India Meteorological Department on Thursday announced that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) over south Andaman Sea and neighbourhood persists."There will be no threat to Andhra Pradesh from this weather system, first such in this summer," said S Stella, director, IMD, Andhra Pradesh Apart from the system, an associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 kilometers above mean sea level also persists.The LPA is likely to become more marked over central parts of Andaman Sea and neighbourhood by Friday and likely to concentrate into a 'Depression' over the same region during subsequent days.The system is likely to move northeastwards towards Myanmar coast.
